Holiday Guide

I love the autumn half term – it is often full of all things spooky and Guy Fawkes. This one may be a little different with no trick or treating or bonfire nights. However, there are still lots of fun things to do and I will pop the best things I find here.

Dinosaur Hunting

Find out where you can visit dinosaurs and dinosaur related attractions in and close to Worcestershire.

Where’s Wally? and Rocket Science at the British Motor Museum this half-term!

This October half-term the British Motor Museum is delighted to be participating in the national Where’s Wally? Spooky Museum Search! Families will be able to hunt for Wally around the Museum to spell out a spooky phrase from hidden letters, and receive a special “I found Wally!” bookmark on completion of the search.

Days Out and Places to Go

You can still manage to get out and about. Find out where is open, any Covid restrictions and how to book below.

Visit the Animals

Check out the local zoos, nature parks and safari parks and say hello to lots of different animals.

Park, Woods and Playgrounds

I love going out and getting a bit of fresh air. These places are also ideal when self distancing too.

Heritage and Gardens

There are still restrictions on going inside but a lot of places have gorgeous gardens and plenty to see outside too.

Active and Adventure

One of the downsides of lockdown was the inability to keep active and blow off some steam. Now there are places starting to reopen where the cobwebs can well and truly be blown away.

Soft Play

You either love it or hate it but on a rainy day when the kids are climbing the walls it is sometimes your saviour. See where has reopened including restrictions here.

We love getting out and about reviewing local places - you will find them all here.

Hopefully more events over the summer will start to be announced soon. When they do, you will find them all here.

Fun Without Leaving the House

If you are isolating, prefer to stay at home or just having a few days in, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the holidays. Have a look through some of my stay at home blogs on my Family Fun at Home pages.
