Visit the animals

Kids love a farm or seeing the animals and there are loads of fantastic places here in Worcestershire to see the animals, big and small.

Here is our go to guide of the best recommended places in Worcestershire to get close up to some wildlife and farm animals alike.

If your favourite is missing, let me know at admin@familylifeworcestershire.com

All Things Wild

Getting to know the animals at All Things Wild

Address: Station Road, Honeybourne, Nr Evesham, Worcestershire. WR11 7QZ

All Things Wild has all the animals you would expect and then some. This wildlife centre is much bigger than it seems and is a must for any dinosaur fan. There is something for everyone here with plenty to do inside and out.

“This was big thumbs up from us and even better than I remembered. We will definitely visit again soon.”

My girls really enjoyed our day out at Attwell Farm Park

“Attwell Farm Park is a lovely smaller farm which is well spaced and well cared for. It is a perfect way to spend a couple of hours looking at all your normal farmyard animals plus emus, llamas and other activities to enjoy”

Stratford Butterfly Farm

Address: Swan’s Nest Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 7LS

So yes this one is not in Worcestershire, but close by and definitely worth a visit.

Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm is a unique, rainforest environment, with splashing waterfalls, tropical blossoms and fish-filled pools. Rain or shine, you can discover many of the world’s most beautiful and brightly coloured butterflies. In the Discovery Zone, observe the amazing life-cycle of a butterfly, you may even see a butterfly hatch from its pupa. Minibeast Metropolis is teeming with life, where stick insects and beetles live alongside snakes, spiders and one of the largest leafcutter ant colonies on display in the UK! To complete your visit take a look in the nature inspired gift shop.

Top Barn Farm

This is a small farm near Worcester which has the bonus of being free for most of the year. There is lots of open space plus the animals to enjoy. There are also play areas (including a castle which my girls love).

It is worth keeping an eye on their website as they often have special events through the year during the holidays.

Umberslade Farm

Making friends at Umberslade Farm

Address: Butts Lane, Tanworth in Arden B94 5AE

This is a lovely little farm which despite seeming to be smaller than other places when you go in, there is plenty to keep you busy through the day. There is a good variety of animals and plenty of activities to let you get close up (some of these vary by day and season so check their website if there is something in particular you would like to do). I really like the play areas which are suitable for all ages but they have also just opened a natural play barn full of lots of wonderful looking things to play on.

Keep an eye on their website for their special offers which run from time to time.
