Outdoor Water Fun

I love the summer time (even though I look more like a snowman by the time I’m done with the suncream).

It can be a struggle to know what to do when it gets hot and how to keep the kids cool. So here are our top places for some water fun in Worcestershire – I never knew we were so lucky to have so many splashpads – enjoy!!!


Splashpad, Gheluvelt Park, Worcester

Currently closed until further notice.

Perfect for cooling down – the kids will love the splash pad with its pools and fountains.


Droitwich Lido

Worcester Road, Droitwich Spa. WR9 8AA

Due to reopen on 1 August to 13 September. Sessions will be time limited and numbers reduced. Online booking to be put in place.

The Droitwich Spa Lido is Worcestershire’s finest outdoor pool, open during the summer months it’s the ideal day out for all the family. There’s plenty here to keep the kids happy with a ‘Wet Play Area’ full of water cannons and fountains.

Droitwich Spa Lido is one of the UK’s few remaining open-air saltwater swimming pools, and with a 40m pool, wet play area, sun terraces and Lido Café you’re sure to have a memorable day out that won’t break the bank.


Brinton Park SplashPad

The main entrance to the park is from Sutton Road. Other entrances can be found at Park Lane and Stourport Road/Park Lane. Nearest postcode for main entrance DY11 6QT.

Abbey Park, Pershore

Currently closed until further notice

The park has lovely mature trees including a tree carving sculpture and plenty of open grass area. There is a children’s play area, a children’s water play area and also a skate park.

Cotswold Water Park

Rigsby’s Lane, Cirencester. GL7 6FJ

Home to the largest inland beach in the UK. Open 10am – 5pm. Includes paddle activities and open water swimming.

Now reopen with limited admission – advance booking is advised.


Bonkers Activities

Paddle activity centre and kayaking available. Tuition and fun sessions are available to book. Suitable for all ages with special activities for ages 12-16.

Now reopen but all activities must be pre-booked in advance. Maximum group of 5 permitted.
