Disney Films Due to Hit the Cinema in the next 18 months


I love Disney almost as much as my girls (Robin Hood was my childhood favourite) and now they have teamed up with Marvel and Pixar there are so many fantastic films due to come out in the next year and half.

I am sure we will all have the songs memorised in no time but for a preview (and to plan a few early Christmas presents by way of merchandise) read on and enjoy…

Solo: A Star Wars Story

This Star Wars spin off movie is to be a prequel about Han Solo, starring Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han. Out in cinemas now.


Ant-Man and the Wasp

This is the first Marvel movie with a lady’s name in the title! It follows the events of the incredible shrinking ant man (Paul Rudd) trying to balance his home life as a father and his responsibilities as Ant Man, which requires him to team up with Wasp (Van Dyne). Out in UK on Friday 29th June


The Incredibles 2

Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Craig T. Nelson as Mr. Incredible, Sarah Vowell as Violet and Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone — will be back for the sequel about the super family. This movie is mainly about Elastigirl’s setting out on her own adventure. Out in UK on Friday 13th July


Christopher Robin

Disney has revealed this movie will be a live action story about the grown up Christopher Robin of Winnie The Pooh story fame. Ewan McGregor plays the (untitled) titular character and you can expect appearances of Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore too so how into the movie. Out in UK on Friday 17th August


The Nutcracker and The Four Rooms

This is set to be a Christmas story the family will love, telling the tale of when a young girl is transported into a magical world of gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice. The cast includes Keira Knightley playing the Sugar Plum Fairy and Helen Mirren as Mother Ginger. Out in UK in Friday 26th October


Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2

I think this is going to be one of our Family’s favourite as we totally loved the first one – So The retro gaming animation is back for a sequel and we are all super excited to see which nostalgic characters are going to pop up in this movie. Out in UK on Friday 30th November


Mary Poppins Returns

Wowzers talk about waiting a long time for a sequel! This is the followup to the 1964 movie and is set to follow a grown up Michael, his three children, and Jane in 1930s London. Mary Poppins, being played by Emily Blunt, will return to bring some cheer back into their lives after suffering “a personal loss.” They’ll be joined by street lamplighter Jack played by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Out in UK on 21st December




Captain Marvel

A female led Marvel superhero film at last!!! A  espionage agent and fighter pilot nabs some superpowers from the Kree (the alien race seen terrorising the universe in Guardians Of The Galaxy) and becomes the heroic Captain Marvel. Out in UK on Friday 8th March



Tim Burton will direct a live-action adaptation of the classic story of the big-eared flying Elephant. Cast includes Eva Green, Michael Keaton and Colin Farrell will all appear. Out in UK on Friday 29th March, is the planned date although this is not set in stone, so it might change


Avengers 4

Originally titles Infinity War II but since renamed as Avengers 4 Cast including Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt and Scarlett Johansson. Out in UK Friday 26th April



Directed by Guy Richie, this Live action version of the classic Disney movie, will be a musical and will includes Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Will Smith as The Genie. The rumoured release date is Friday 24th May


Toy Story 4

Get excited…..They are making another Toy Story and the plot is expected to be a love story between Woody and Bo Peep. Out in UK on Friday 21st June


The Lion King

This highly-anticipated remake of the big screen classic. The Movie tells the story of how the Lion King journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolises his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. The cast includes Beyonce as Naia, a young lioness who is beast friends with Simba voiced by Donal Glover. Out in UK on Friday 18th July



Anna Kendrick star as Santa’s daughter who is forced to take over the family business following her fathers retirement. It expected to been in our Cinemas in UK on 8th November but this could change


Frozen 2

There is no way the Disney would Let This Go of course they were going to make a sequel as after the huge success of the first movie. Out in UK on 27th November
